In Japan, there is one food that has attained the same revered status as the ubiquitous hamburger in the U.S.A, the ever-popular fish and chips in Britain and the well loved kimchi in Korea - but don't look to sushi, tempura or noodles. Would you believe ... curry?

In Japan, Curry is considered one of the most popular foods among children and adults. Per capita consumption of Japanese curry and other-related food is even higher than that of "typical" Japanese cuisine such as sushi, tempura or sukiyaki. Estimates suggest that the Japanese consume curry at least once a week and surveys have revealed curry was the consistent favourite amongst children.

Hurry Curry of Tokyo first opened its doors in our West Los Angeles location in 1989. After spending the time researching Japanese curry house in Tokyo in the 1980's, our goal was to bring the wonderful flavours and value of their popular restaurants to Los Angeles. Working with Japanese chefs from Tokyo, we developed our own original blend of 21 spices for our signature curry sauce. Our customers tell us this is why they keep coming back

Hurry Curry of Tokyo opened its first franchise in Jakarta, Indonesia in early 2003 and our intention is to expand Hurry Curry company stores into select markets in Los Angeles and in surrounding countries in asia in the comig years.
